I managed to get the black PETG for 49.66 including tax.
It will be interesting to see if this actually works with high speed printing (it claims 350mm/sec); all of the existing PETG I have on hand is only rated for 50mm/sec, and really quits working well if I try to push it past 100.

thank you for this OP! i'm about half way on my previous order and this stuff is pretty good. I was hoping this would come back. It's cheap enough to protoype and it prints great. I do dry it at 70C for 7-8 hours just in case. No issues.

i'm printing something right now and prusaslicer says it's reaching 188mm/sec for this particular print with a .4mm high flow nozzle, .25mm layer height and its perfect. My max volumetric speed is at 21. I've had issues if i print too fast on like the speed setting, but I stick with balanced and had no issues.

Do you think it's an ok finish for nice storage bins that'll be visible. Or is better to go slightly up the budget totem pole with some sunlu/Elegoo?

this is what i'm printing, it's a Darth Vader helmet for a dog haha. Oh yes I feel like it would be great. I have the 10KG Black petg so it is shiny. I did notice that if you print not as hot you can't limit the shine but its all trial and error. GL

edit: once it's done I'll take another pic outside so you can see under normal light. The printer lights bring out the layer lines a bit but yeah the thicker your layer height more you'll see it but that's all 3d printers

Why's it always the black that goes on sale? I hope other lighter colors can go on sale too

So is it petg or pla. WTF the title on that listing lol? Even the "support" couldn't answer the simple question 🤬

I mostly use it for storage bins as well. The KingRoon PETG is my go-to for most prints, because it's cheap, prints well, and has a reasonably acceptable finish. Admittedly, the big biggest distinctions betwen the PETG from KingRoon and higher cost brands, is the colors and finish. The more costly brands generally have more vibrant colors, wider selection, and more consistency between batches (though a minor deviation should be expected between different batches from any company), and a better finish.

The difference is noticable, HOWEVER, for solid-color bins, I would use this no problem. At $50 for 10 rolls, I would recommend giving it a shot and seeing if you find it acceptable. If not, I'm sure you could find other uses for it, where surface quality isn't critical.

I'm down to 32 rolls of black at the moment so this was a good time to restock. Thanks OP!

Probably a supply and demand thing. Black is possibly what most people/businesses use the most of. At the moment I go through 10kg of black in a few days myself

I just got my last order of the 10 Petg. I have had mixed results with their PLA. But this stuff is fantastic. Once I dialed it in it's printed beautifully. Really impressed.

I picked this same deal up for $3.85/roll, plus tax, during last month's sale. I was always a Sunlu user, but I'm glad I tried the Kingroon because it's really good! I went back and grabbed the white 10kg deal because of this.

For those on the fence, try it! For $5/kg, this really is a steal!!!

I've had very good results with this filament in both black and white. I currently limit my filament to 18mm3/s through a standard nozzle. Volumetric rate means more than linear speed: at 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layer height, that's 225 mm/s but at 0.4 and 0.1mm layer height that's 450mm/s. I have a high flow nozzle that should be capable of ~24-25mm3/s, but I haven't really tested this filament to the limit yet.

Bond to the bed is excellent with a textured PEI and hairspray (cheap, easy, fast). Shrinkage is ~0.3% when printed at 230C.
