Need one. Does anyone have opinion of whether better to have 3/8 in or 1/2 in?

I would get 1/2. Then you can use a reducer for 3/8 especially if working on things that need the torque. Also use impact rated sockets. The additional weight of the socket actually helps

Good in this economy. Tariffs and inflation can push this higher in a few years.

Nope. This is a new, high torque stubby with a high output battery. This combination has never been on sale for $120.

IMO I prefer the 3/8".

I have a big 18v 1/2" impact impact and I find myself using a 3/8" impact for almost everything. I keep a nice kit of 3/8" sockets and it goes everywhere with me.

They have so much power these days, portability is important to me. If I need to pull out the 1/2" stuff, I'm either working on something really big or I'm having a bad day.

As far as price goes - you can search slickdeals and get a sense for how much something often goes for and how often it's on sale. One of my favorite features of SD since I can know if I should jump on a deal or wait.

Thank you quite
Helpful. The 3/8 in is not on sale for 206 but is 224. Seems a small

Excellent tool! It is the gold standard for compact impact wrenches and rips for something so small.

The majority of my preference for the 3/8s is the Astro low profile 6-24mm impact sockets being terrific. Quinn low pro 1/2" is super cheap w the fairly regular 30-35% sales too though.

You're right. But this was on sale for $159 last year and I was lucky enough to grab one.
