I wonder if all their TV's are going to drop in price like crazy because of the spyware in the TV, not owning the glass to your own TV and the legal mumbo jumbo they wrote to justify this.

So what TV brand should we be looking at if these are "spying" on us?

I mean every cell phone is tracking your position and Alexa and Google home are listening. So what TV can we trust?

It's all tracking and spying.

TV OSes are horrendous. I'd simply not connect any brand of TV to the internet. Hook up a streaming box (ideally one with minimal spyware, like Apple TV) and use that exclusively.

Its still sending information about what's on your screen to the servers when you use hdmi devices.

Buy a big computer monitor and buy a de-googled phone. The problem is that when you have that kind of attitude you don't realize that it affects everyone else around you when your spy phone captures the activity going on around you. It really is like second-hand smoking. You're second-hand spying on everyone around you.

Of course I realize this - but they're not complaining (yet). You asked what brand you should look for that isn't spying on you. The answer is basically none. Just like there are no phones that don't spy on you. Spying is ubiquitous because there is no amount of money you can pay these companies to NOT spy on you. The marketing data ROI on these spy tv's is supposedly something like 5x the shelf price. That means that this $980 TV now turns into a $5k+ TV. Would you pay $5k+ for this TV? I doubt it. Would Pfizer pay $5k to get access to your (and others) data? Yes because they have basically unlimited money compared to you.
