nonsense. I have 3 squirrel feeders in my back yard and have had them for many years and not once has any squirrel walked on my roof or let alone tried to enter my house and I often leave my rear slider door open.

I have fed wildlife my entire life..birds, squirrels, skunks, opossums, foxes. I have never had anything damage our property..not once.
Actually, I prefer my creatures over most people.

Man, squirrels made my life a living hell a couple years ago. My home is vintage, 225 years old. I needed some window sills and gutters replaced which took a few days. Lots of hammering and banging during that time. As soon as the job was finished, that night I started to hear something chewing inside some of the walls. I looked around the outside and noticed squirrels chewing into the house. I guess all that banging noises attracted them, who knows. The town forbids the killing of these disgusting creatures so I needed to capture them. It took me a couple months but I caught one at a time until the entire bloodline was gone (about 20 squirrels total). I had to drive them, one at a time because I only caught one at a time, 20 miles away. That is forbidden by the town too, but I didn't care. For I was told if you just dump them a few miles away they will find their way back. If these pests started to chew through the wiring in the walls it could have caused a major disaster. I've been squirrel free ever since, though I still get a little paranoid if I see one running through the backyard. I had no idea it was going to end up being 20 squirrels, I figured just 1 or 2. Boy was I wrong.

Sadly poor meat with too many bones to consume. It's simply a rat with a fuzzy tail! Continue your attempts, your neighborhood will benefit but probably never acknowledge it.
