If you can, wait. This goes on sale pretty much every other week for $159, and it's been as low as $139 fairly recently: https://slickdeals.net/f/19867791

heads up, I bought this refurbished from EcoFlow's eBay store. I asked support to tell me the number of hours on the battery cells and they said it had never been used. It started visibly sparking and popping less than 2 months into my ownership and I'm currently in touch with support. Could've burned my house down, woke up to the noise in the morning and have no idea how long it had been doing it

Not $139, but current promo is $149. Look like the price is good for 10 days. Hoping a Cap 1 shopping discount will pop up for another 7-9%. Looks like this configuration with the phone power bank built in the top is a Costco sku? It is on their website but I don'tknow if it is a Costco exclusive. https://ebay.io/m/C3h0Jw

I bought a few things from the eBay refurb store and have had numerous issues with them. Customer support is terrible. They will lie to you by anything and everything. It takes days on and to get anything accomplished because of their tickets system and a 24 hour turnaround for answers. Messages can go back-and-forth for days, going in to weeks before any resolution can be reached.

At this point, I would staple my package to the wall before I would deal with these clowns on eBay again. They are unethical and they are liars. They literally will make up anything and then contradict themselves the very next message.

One of my units was supposed to be like new. It came with dirt so thick on it that it looked like it came from a feed store. In addition it had tape residue all over it from whoever the previous user was. During the discussions regarding this and my questioning them about how I could possibly have confidence that I wouldn't receive another unit like this, they insisted that every unit is refurbished to like new condition and that the reason I got the unit that I did was because they couldn't guarantee what happens after they mail it. 😂

I messaged them back and asked if they were insinuating that someone opened up my package put a bunch of dirt on the unit, including in the fan ports, stuck some tape residue on it, and then resealed the box in such a professional manner, that nobody would know it was ever opened?

Sorry to hear, was your scenario this Ecoflo River 3 Plus Unit? I have only bought a couple eBay refurbs inc. Samsung Soundbar, like new, box a beat beat up and just last week a Dreo pedestal fan, like new though missing remote that the seller is making good on. Also Bluetti Elite 100, certainly new, but sold as renewed on Aliexpress. Luck of the draw I guess.

I assume it was plugged in using as a UPS?

I got a refurbed one that straight up drained battery when I let it charge and was dead in 2 days. Returned it instead of replacing. I've lost trust in their refurbished market.

Yeah, I can see being gun shy after your experience. Looking at their eBay page they have sold 22k items, 4600 customers have left feedback which is 99.4% positive. You unfortunately were in the .06 percent and I would say that isn't to bad of a ratio for Ecoflow dealing with refurb product.

Interesting, looking at the listing if you drill down into the description it says 5 year warranty. The refub warranty is two years, wondering which is it?

Seems with eBay / PayPal policy if you just put the newly arrived product through the paces and find any issues you just return it no questions asked within 30 days, thus by passing BS Tech support, no?

Yes, I am specifically talking about Ecoflow refurbs. This exact unit and others.

I have had other refurbished items from others on eBay without incident. The problem is when you have unethical companies or individuals selling refurbs. So, to be clearer, that story was only the tip of the iceberg with them. I just don't have time to write a novel, but at the same time I want to warn people about who they are dealing with.

I honestly would not buy refurb anything from ebay. I had a bad experience with every single refurb i have bought. Not just powerstations. They generally refuse to honor the warranty and offer to replace it with some off brand crap that isn't worth close to anything I paid for.
