The Price games they played with these robot vacuums is absurd. But, this robot has been basically this price for quite a while. They randomly jack up the price for a few days, but then it settles back down at this level.

So is this worth about $150? How good of a job does this on tiles and wood floor? Any experience with this brand/model?

I just bought a roborock about a month ago and it already is having issues, always complaining its wheels are jammed even though I don't see any obstructions at all. This thing was supposed to make my life easier, not give me yet another thing I need to carefully maintain

I have two Roborocks that have been solid for a few years now. S5 Max and S7.
Considering getting a third for the basement. How does compare to those? Price seems to be pretty attractive based on prior purchases?

I've been using Roborock vacuums for a few years. I have two older models, S4 Max and Q5, which are vacuum only models. You need to setup barriers and no-go zones on the map once you have your home mapped. Yes, the vacuums will sometimes have issues especially when you use it in area with rugs/carpet, but it works really well and trouble free on hard floors. That's must my experience.

People expecting any robo vacuum to be plug-in and go straight from the box are going to get a rude awakening.

Valetudo work on this one? Or does the "m5" variant mean they've closed the rooting vulnerability?

all my vacuum money to the company that openly supports locally hosted robots.

How do the robotic mops compare with the upright vacuum/mop combos?

This is one of the worst designs made by Roborock. The dust collector opens from underneath and it is a big inconvenience because you cannot do it when it's docked. It's slightly annoying, but it grows on your gradually. I highly recommend to look at a model which has a different shape and you can open the desk collector when it's docked.
