Seems like a decent deal considering the crazy high prices of RAM nowadays. 24GB of DDR5 ram would cost you over 300 bucks just by itself.

Seems like a decent deal considering the crazy high prices of RAM nowadays. 24GB of DDR5 ram would cost you over 300 bucks just by itself.

Yes sir.. Both the ROG Ally and the Ally X use the Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU, which use the Radeon 780M gpu.

To be clear, it's 2x12GB for the RAM. Dual Channel is needed for decent iGPU performance, so glad it's not 1x24GB as indicated.

This is LPDDR5, not 2x SODIMM slots.

Not bad for the price. The CPU / iGPU are still super capable. The weirdest thing which I'm hoping is a typo are the PCIe 3.0 limited 2280 slots.

Yes, not SODIMM. But it IS dual-channel, hence 2x12 and not 1x24. People who want expectations on performance, especially with the iGPU or on-device inference will appreciate the difference.

Can someone confirm if the memory is 12GBx2 or 24GBx1? On the photos it says 12GBx2 but the specs says 24GBx1

We live in strange times. A more common amount is 16gb and good luck finding that for even just $200. 24gb sticks on Amazon are over $300.

It's actually most likely 4 x 48Gb (6GB) packages, each mapping to one of the four 32-bit channels (4x32-bit on LPDDR5 vs. 2x64-bit on standard DDR5). Still running in dual channel, but pedantically unlikely to be the more expensive 2 x 96Gb (12GB) LPDDR5 BGA IC chips.
