The ACEMAGIC S16 pairs a Ryzen 7 H 255 and Radeon 780M with 24GB of LPDDR5 memory, making it a strong value for gaming and on device inference. The dual channel 2x12GB setup matters for iGPU performance, and the CPU and graphics are described as roughly Z1 Extreme class. The price looks especially attractive against current DDR5 pricing. The main cautions are the unclear PCIe 3.0 limited 2280 slots, concerns about cheap internal parts, and the fact that S16 variants are not all equivalent.

Tech communities note that while the CPU and RAM inside the S16 are excellent, ACEMAGIC uses incredibly cheap internal components (like capacitors, resistors, and battery cells) to keep prices low. Reviewers point out that these laptops generally hold up fine for the first 6 to 12 months, but have a high failure rate shortly after. Battery degradation and sudden motherboard failures are common complaints. So this is great for porn.... until it blows up.

FWIW, i have had an acemagic 15" laptop for three plus years, daily use since purchase, open/close multiple times/day, probably 10 one-week plus travel trips with it, battery is still as new, i do tend to keep it plugged in but i will let it drain several times per year. Absolutely zero problems. I have had dells that performed worse in the longevity category. I think i paid $320 for it, don't remember all the specific specs.

From what I understand, the z1 extreme chipset uses the actual 780M gpu, so it's not an equivalent, it's literally the same GPU.

A lot of different chips use the 780m iGPU and different variants of it.

And all the different variants of it aren't even equivalent to each other.

Not bad for the price. The CPU / iGPU are still super capable. The weirdest thing which I'm hoping is a typo are the PCIe 3.0 limited 2280 slots.
Max throughput for SSDs is largely irrelevant and just makes for wastes energy. For gaming and nearly all regular uses, the difference between SATA and pcie 5.0 is negligible.

My biggest issue is the seller. Acemagic. Seems sketch. Buy a laptop and a year from now you are burnt on any support
