Yea it's a funny shape for sure. So the whole things sits inside a water filter (basically a tank) the big pipe looking things at the bottom right is the return to the pool and the four "arms" that sticks out connect to these filters. The water pressure push the dirty water through the filter and keeps all on the dirty stuff then push it back out via the pipe looking thing back into the pool.

Damn, I thought for sure this was for a Rockwell retro encabulator. Because it looks like this one has the six hydrocoptic marzelvanes fitted to an ambifacient lunar waneshaft to help it prevent side fumbling.
