It dawned on my this evening that some of the younger SDer's may not be familiar with the Dell Refurnished 'scam'. People think in terms of a HP refurbished machine, bought at Costco and returned and resold as 'refurbished', nearly new. Not these machines. These laptops have been on a business lease for three years and are used daily, weekly, who knows? They are fully depreciated by the leasing company and returned at some nominal cost to a company (maybe not even Dell) - who basically cleans them and resells them for an enormous profit. I know the scam, accept the risk and look for the deals. But for Dell (or FedEx rumored?) to call these machines 'refurbished' is really false advertising. It's more like buying a used car from Hertz or Avis. Good luck to all, including me!

As per my understanding, it is ddr5 for P series Intel 13th gen CPUs and ddr4 for U series CPUs.

Caveat is that there are no returns. Check the shipping quote. They add "handling" but it's bubble wrapped.

BIOS info shows excellent battery health and 2x 8GB DDR4 3200. In general I run CrystalDisk Info on them and hardly get any below 85% life on the SSD. No Charger but 65w USB-C laptop chargers are $8 on Amazon.

For Ebay I usually buy from regencytechnologies because they pay for free return shipping. They are one of the largest recyclers. They don't have any now but lots of other listings but it takes time going through all the different conditions of them.

Happy with my recent purchase of an ***i9 Precision workstation with 128GB RAM and a 2TB SSD*** for$12xx from Dell Refurbished! Hopefully, it will last me at least three years by which point RAM prices will have stabilized.

As mentioned by others, my shipping status never updated. So I called yesterday, they said it would arrive today and now it's here. I guess the auto update on shipping must be broken.

Anyway, I got the 512 option with DDR5. It looks great cosmetically.

Per powercfg /batteryreport the cycle count is 8 and the battery capacity is 100%. It lists all 8 cycles with timestamps from today.

received my i5-32gb-512ssd-grade A today, and it may be going back. the entire laptop chassis is twisted, will not sit flat on any surface.

edit: Touchscreen is not working either. Its enabled in bios, and it does not work in the bios either

Just received my laptop today. Order status never updated from processing stage. It's i5-1350P with 32 GB DDR5 (4800 MT/s). Anyway, it looks excellent cosmetically. Hardly any sign of usage on this laptop. Battery health is pretty good as well. DESIGN CAPACITY 54,002 mWh, FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 52,383 mWh, CYCLE COUNT 108. The battery has 97% of original full capacity. SSD health is 99%. Overall, I'm pretty happy with a purchase. This is one of the best bang for your buck non gaming everyday use laptop deal I could find this year.

Guess I lost the lottery on this one. A little dinged up cosmetically, a couple of the keys inconsistently register, battery charge capacity is only 35,887 mWh out of the 54,002 design capacity.

Luckily, mine is still covered under the support plan, so dell is sending a tech out to repair the laptop/touch screen after troubleshooting with them for a few hours.
