I don't like exposed filament design, not good if you have high humanity like swamp cooler. Also some grumblings about how Bambulabs wants to be the Apple of 3D printers. yuck.
Agreed. It has to be enclosed for me to even consider it.
A1 is an incredible 3d printer! Open design is fine...just learn how to keep your filament dry...it's not that hard. You are not going to want to do heavy multicolor prints as it will take a long time and waste alot of filament and that's for the more expensive printers to handle. That all being said, not sure how this is such a good deal considering they are regularly 399 without led lamp.

This is not the real bambu. They do not sell on Amazon. Wouldn't trust this. looks like some guy using his employee discount to make $20

Where are you seeing this vendor name? On Amazon I see "Bambu Lab Store" as the "Sold by" vendor.
Edit: nvm, I found it. Good catch, that address is for a personal residence and not even an actual store or warehouse.

I was looking into it a few weeks ago and seemed suspect they only stock a few printers and other things.
I really think it is is some microcenter employee that is presenting like official bambu, and is just having Amazon fulfill orders
P1S with AMS is $500 right now. I can't believe anyone even considers A1 anymore.
Agreed, but I am a little stuck. P2s is only $200ish more and has a lot of quality of life and better nozzle.
Then the x2d is only $150ish more than that and had aux nozzle and heated chamber. So $300 more than p1s and objectively better in a few ways and quality of life. probably less waste and faster prints (for multicolor).
When you get to $900ish ,
then the snapmaker u1 seems like best option for those that want multicolor without waste.
Im new and still kinda wanna try the p1s now then next year maybe go for bigger/better
