This has been $157 new from flashforge themselves through aliexpress and 3 days shipping from a California warehouse. Might be worth the wait.

Mine came from a NJ warehouse and took 2 days. $127.The issue is that its goes on sale for a couple of days and then goes back to $250

From my experience - buy new from Aliexpress at $127-$150. It pops up in that price range at least biweekly.

I'm sure the refurbished model is fine, but why? Aliexpress has been consistently reliable for me. My only reservation would be returns aren't the easiest, but they're no more difficult than ebay.

Better to spend the extra $50 and get a brand new upgraded multicolor AD5X for the 50 more (actually less if your also use a cashback app).

In all seriousness, this is not a "beginner machine". A beginner machine would be something like a Bambu lab A1 mini. This is a solid core xy printer, and with DIY improvements you can easily print other materials that are more temp sensitive and require an enclosed build area (ABS as one example).
