Keep in mind that once you add a case and MagSafe accessories to that heavy, bulky phone,
it will easily surpass 300g.
Even on the 200g Fold 8 with an aramid case and a MagSafe grip,
it doesn't feel all that light.
If I were to buy that phone, I would definitely opt for the lightest and thinnest aramid case possible.
Putting price and performance aside, it's hard to justify a weight that rivals Chinese or Samsung foldables from three years ago

All the cases do the same thing. I've bought cheap cases for every phone I've ever bought and they work just fine.

Big phones need aramind cases to make them not even bigger imo. They need to be hand sized still. That's what I had to do with previous pro maxes and my current Galaxy S26 Ultra.

I would LOVE to see someone drop an open Duo from 15 feet using this case to see what happens. It's already been tested over 5000 times, certainly with real Apple hardware and not onto a pile of pillows, so I say go for it.

I don't like bulky cases. I like light-weight cases that protect my phone from scratches and minor drops. What is wrong with a $6 case if it fits someone's use case? I have been using lightweight cases since iPhone 1 came out and they have worked for me just fine. $2000 phone doesn't mean every owner needs a $100 case.
