Folks is this a good deal? I want to reward myself for getting a new job, should I pull the trigger? Price looks decent to me according to my parts spreadsheet O.o

Edit: looks like ideally the RAM should be DDR5-6000 instead of DDR-5200? Does that really matter

This is a good treat for yourself in today's market. I was building a PC to put together and this is over $500 cheaper than me building it myself. I realize there was a better deal on it not long ago but those days are gone.

Unfortunately, in these shitty times this is considered a ok deal. The components like the motherboard, PSU, RAM, and M.2 are all going to be on the low end and that's where they beat you on price if you try to DIY it in todays market. For the lucky ones with a MicroCenter near them this is what a DIY would cost:

9800x3D, Motherboard, and 32GB RAM = $900
9070XT = $900 +/-
PSU = $100
1Tb M.2 = $200
360mm AIO = $100 (Cheaper is available but not recommended)
Case = $100 (This is all preference, on Avg the nice cases are around $100 but there is cheaper)
Windows 11 = $10
Keyboard/Mouse = $50 (You can easily spend more here, it's all preference)

So in reality this would cost you close to $2400 to DIY. Realistically it could end up to more. If you're going to do it yourself you are going to gravitate towards the better version of each product unless you are really trying hard to keep the cost low.

In today's market, this it is a decent deal, yes. The speed of the RAM is way less important as this build has an X3D. Go for it and enjoy your new PC --and congrats on the new job!
