No catch. It's a good service. Reps are extremely helpful except when you want to cancel then they might offer you a better offer than the renewal price. But the renewal price promo won't be as good as a new sub offer. But at least they will throw you a bone as an existing sub.

This is their regular price. Around BF, you get deals with $11/$12 a month average cost (albeit annual payment). Also, Dark Star/ATT has the cheapest plans as well.

Depends on the network. Only At&t(Dark Star) is unlimited high speed on the more costly plan, so if you have good service with them, go for it.

Also, their throttled speed is plenty fast for most people, 500kbps, but not fast enough for 4k of course, if this is the only Internet service you're using.

There are some catches. If you have an iPhone, you don't get 5G SA yet, even with iOS 27. This is an issue on Apple's side, not USM's. Light Speed/T-Mobile isn't the highest priority yet, but will be. The free watch line only works with Warp/Verizon. The other networks may not be compatible with your watch. If you want to stick with USM at a discount, you'll need to talk to customer service and see if they can offer a retention deal. Not everyone likes how the CEO named the last update. This deal has been going on for a while.

I use US Mobile and enjoy being able to use two networks with multinetwork and switch to any of the 3 carriers.

The catch is you are locked in for a full year, which to me is similar to when we all had cell phone plan contracts (although this is certainly a lot cheaper)

For reference, I paid $149 on Jan 31st for a full year of service.

That specific promo I chose was for Darkstar/ATT

*Verizon is much better where I live (Midwest and I also have welcome unlimited) but as a data device ATT/Darkstar meets my needs.

Speedtest on ATT/Darkstar/UsMobile with Pixel 9 Pro XL shows - 55.4mbps download & 2.06mbps upload

Compared to Verizon with Moto Edge Plus 2023 - 145mbps download, 30.5mbps upload

I have the unlimited premium plan, just switched from tmobile. In Seattle, tmo seems to have the best coverage. They seem fine, just get a lot more spam texts and calls. Also if you go to reddit you can get a referral code from someone to get $30 gift card. Finally this is pretty much normal price, it won't go away after x days.

My first year is up on the 26th of this month. I received an email offer a couple of weeks ago for another year at $200. I asked about the 2nd line which will renew in October and they dropped it to $230. I was looking to switch to Visible but now I'll stay with US as they are pretty solid on out of country roaming.

In my experience, USMobile Warp (Verizon network) on Unlimited Premium plan generally performs worse than Visible and other Verizon MVNOs (like RedPocket). On the east coast (VA / NC / SC / GA), I almost always get faster speeds and better signal strength on Visible than US Mobile. Additionally, I was recently in the desert in Utah and Idaho and I had signal on RedPocket but not USMobile. Using a Pixel 10. YMMV.
