And no more setting a timer for baking in the oven. I just SET IT AND FORGET IT, until the beeps of course.
I don't take out my thick steaks a few hours ahead of grilling anymore. I leave it cold and that way I get an even crustier outer layer. There's no guessing.
Just know that when you set something like steak to medium rare, take it off the grill 3-5 degrees early. Don';t let the alarm beep and then take off the steak. You have to self anticipate the few extra degrees that the steak will continue to rise for after removing.
Like a new grill, or food saver, or sous vide, this tool is encouraging me to make so much more wonderful foods.
