They were installing their monitor software through Windows Update, which spammed McAffee ads, but MS forced them to remove it. They'll probably try it again once people forget.
I'm not sure if the monitors have the binding arbitration contract on the shipping boxes, like the TVs, in case you need more reason to avoid them. At least no built-in mic to spy, unless you hook up a USB webcam with one - then all bets are off.
This monitor could be $1 and I still wouldn't buy it. LG is a scum.
