Is the national cheeseburger Day an official national day or is it just a marketing thing from this restaurant?
You could have literally googled that question

I don't see a master deal list. Jack is also adding a doube cheeseburger day? How about a square cheeseburger day? Bottomline where are the deals? I guess you'll have to search burger or cheeseburger for deals around 18 September.

Remember, everyday is National Deals Day.

I don't see any of the deals that are supposed to be activated so far in my app in west Texas, hopefully they will feel the pressure tomorrow and do that one atleast.

Apparently it's sort of real, but the backstory is ridiculous. It started in the 50s as "National Ground Beef Preparedness Day" during the Cold War because there was this weird concern about keeping the country supplied with beef if Soviet blockades disrupted food imports.

Then sometime in the 70s restaurants basically realized nobody was going to get excited about "Ground Beef Preparedness Day" and started calling it National Cheeseburger Day instead. Eventually that name just took over.

So the restaurant didn't make it up. But restaurants did basically hijack an obscure Cold War beef holiday and turn it into a reason to sell cheeseburgers.

I'm always kind of curious about the weird little back-stories, but after I couldn't come up with much about it from standard Google searches, I pasted the story in to Google and asked about it. Sounds like it's not real, despite being a fun little story. https://share.google/eZh2qCwLYCx376ohj
