D6 on youtube is 2k, not 3k. The last time i bought a no name "2k" in this price range it was more like upscaled 720i.

Vine isn't paid. I'm with you, most viners phone it in with reviews and review without even touching the product, but there are also many who put in the effort. I'm on Vine, I definitely try to be as insightful as I can and brutally honest when something is junk. I also take list price into consideration when I review.
And we have to pay taxes on these things. Every dollar amount of LIST price before discounts is what gets counted towards your income taxes. So whatever tax bracket you fall into, multiply the list price by the corresponding percent, and thats what these things cost a viner.

I'm glad you try to be as objective as possible 👍. I agree the quality of the reviews varies greatly and the Vine program does seem to encourage quick reviews rather than longer experience and quality reviews. It seems a bunch are basically unboxing reviews that have not even used the item.

The reason you get taxed is because it's income. Getting something free is the payment. Which is also why it legally has to be marked as such.
