Such a good movie.
They so need to release this on 4k physical media!

WB just needs to make sure it gets a reference HDR & Atmos transfer, it deserves it!

They don't make movies like this anymore. I don't know if I'd call it a masterpiece necessarily, but it's EXTREMELY solid. Intelligent story and characters, creative and controlled use of special effects, great visuals where you can actually see what the hell is happening, a narrative that doesn't overly rely on "grittiness" or some psychological trauma. I'm at the phase in my life where I'd rather go back and rewatch movies like this than see whatever new hackery just came out on streaming.

Still holds up really well. The practical effects and visuals are impressive for its age, and a proper 4K HDR/Atmos release would be an easy buy.

Highly underrated movie. I love John Hurt's character, and this is one of my favorite scenes with him in it (spoiler alert): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Et4sMJP9FmM

This movie was disappointing. I misread the title and thought it was called "Contract". I'm a contract law attorney. I watched until the end because I thought maybe the contract was at the end between the aliens and the humans but nope.

I remember when this came out and I saw it the day it opened. I went alone to a matinee. I was so blown away by the movie and loved it so much I left the theater feeling completely shaken from it. Very few movies do that to me anymore. In fact, it's probably been at least 15 years since I've had that happen.

If only this was in 4K I'd buy it.

Bro has really changed. I went to high school with him, back when his name was Matthew McConaughello.

One that did the same for me was Arrival!
Well done and very thought-provoking.

Unfortunately, it got not so good UHD transfer!

I was going to post a quote from this movie about hearing 2, 3, 5, 7, etc. but "Wanna take a ride?" beats it.
