Interesting how people might spend money on the ability to watch something on demand as long as apple renews it's licencing but not own a copy... When they could go on Pluto with a free sign in and watch this exact series on demand but not own a copy. Or if they have Paramount Plus they could.... Watch this exact series on demand but not own a copy.
$15 vs $monthly fee vs ads/time

vs a space trade off for owning the dvd/br vs a different price for a different platform vs the fractional cost of internet and electricity to stream it... We can analyze all the externalities but it's the concept of ownership I'm getting at.
Spending money on a temporary at best license (unless you buy it from CBS/Paramount) is a weird concept to me.
Every time you go to the movies you are basically doing the same thing. You are renting the movie to watch once during a specific two hour window. If you buy/rent this from Apple then probably the worse case scenario is you are getting at least a ten year rental for $15. A ten year Paramount subscription would be about $2000. Probably more because they raise prices every year.

You're not getting downvotes for a different opinion, it's for being snarky about it. I actually agree it's better to own physical media but people have different opinions about benefits and tradeoffs. So what, it's not a big deal if other people buy digital copies. I have a ton of 4k blu rays, but $20 for the convenience to stream all of Next Generation on any device I want for however long Fandango is in business sounds like a good deal to me.

Nice deal I purchased on Amazon eariler this week for the same price, my digital credits got it down to $3. I'll buy this too...both for $18. Dual-Platform Security, I'll have a backup if any there are licensing issues. Thanks OP!
