This should tell you all you need to know. 😆
It's a game that's a million miles wide, but only an inch deep. Planets are barren, there are 4 bases that are just repeated over and over, building SUCKS, characters are stale, writing is pretty poor, story is not engaging, and it still has bugs. I only played it because it was on GamePass, and even at "free" it was underwhelming. $10 game at best, and only if you have no other games you're interested in.

Starfield on PlayStation 5 is framed as a sprawling Bethesda RPG that can be worth around $25 to $30 if you want a long, one playthrough space adventure. The strongest praise points to its improved state since launch, a unique New Game Plus, and familiar Fallout 4 style modding. The main knocks are empty planets, repetitive bases, weak writing, and a quest line that feels disorganized. Several comments also say the price still feels high for the amount of depth on offer, making it a better fit if you are curious rather than expecting Skyrim level replay value.
A coupon can bring the PS5 price down to about $25.49.
The game can feel worth around $25 for a single playthrough, especially for players who want one run rather than repeated replays.
The game may be enjoyable for players who like Bethesda-style modding and are willing to treat it as a one-and-done experience.
Starfield can have strong potential, and the quest line may be the main area that feels disorganized rather than the whole experience.
The PS5 version reportedly delayed release and still did not include all DLC.
The game can be boring, with mediocre writing, unengaging character building, and empty planets after several hours.
Starfield reportedly launched with bugs and incomplete content, and charging $30 years later can feel unjustified.
The game can feel shallow, with barren planets, repeated bases, poor building, stale characters, and lingering bugs.
