I don't use my G7 Pro much anymore, the Vader 5S ($59) is my current favorite for Xbox FPS (Call of Duty).
The overall size, adjustable stick tension, and location of the baby bumpers on top would be a few reasons.
Also, be aware that there is (was?) an issue with the right trigger with the trigger lock engaged. It would cause missed inputs. Without the lock engaged it was fine. Not saying these have this problem or will develop this problem, but it is a widespread issue. It happened to my original Shadow Ember.
