FYI, this uses the G series LG panel. Pretty good deal.

This price would be good for the G series not C. Especially with all the spying LG is doing, they should lower the price more since they are selling customer data

Good deal if you cannot access LG partner store. I've been waiting for LG partner score to drop below $1900 w/ free soundbar but not sure if I'm being too optimistic on how low it will go...

I'm itching for this exact model after researching the G and seeing that the G is just flatter and slighter brighter. Otherwise, the C6H has the same panel and processor (albeit minus the 5 yr lg warranty). The value proposition is the C6H. I just moved and was reviewing the current LG store price. I am thinking to wait also. Surely, there will be better deals in Nov? Anyones thoughts on upcoming Fall deals in the LG store?

Yep I reached the same conclusion in my research! I don't know for sure but my gut says we should get a better deal in the partner store this fall...

How does this perform as a monitor in reference to the sub pixle layout.

I want to upgrade to the newer model but it is a concern.

This deal really has me tempted, but holding out for an 83" OLED.

I am currently using the 48" C6H (uses a similar, if not the same panel as the 48-inch G5 that was only release in Europe) as a wall-mounted desktop monitor at a distance of 1m (~3ft). The text is very legible - surprisingly so actually. And I'm pretty anal about that stuff. For reference, I have Windows at 125% scaling (native 3840x2160 resolution.) Obviously this won't be as sharp as a proper monitor but it's quite good, assuming you are at an appropriate distance from the display.

Also be aware that the G6 has a significantly better anti-reflective coating. That, plus the brighter output makes it a better choice for viewing in a brightly lit room or one flooded with natural light.

I'm pretty sure only 77" and larger C6 (I.e. when it has the H) use the same panel as the G series. The 65" and smaller C6 does not use it.

The 48-inch is the exception in the sub-77" sizes. It is the only one that has a different, better panel, but it isn't quite the same panel as the 77- and 83-inch. Those get even brighter.

Last year's G series panel. But yeah the C6H 77" is a big jump in brightness over the C5 77".
