Do not connect an LG TV to the Internet. Full stop.
Yeah this is the obvious answer. It can't spy if it can't talk to anything. I don't trust any 'smart' TV now adays. Use a seperate set top box with software that is at least a little trustworthy. At some point we may have to go back to making our own media PCs with linux to stop the onslaught of privacy invasion.
No way this is a good quality display TV. I use a G series OLED which is smaller and more expensive than this. Anything this large needs to be OLED otherwise you'll see every flaw and imperfection.
