I'm not here to argue either way but it seems like no one has responded to you. I understand physical sales of all media are on the rise including CD's, vinyl, DVD, Bluray, etc, which makes increased demand for players.

I've seen lately about a million times people warning against digital copies being lost due to the rights being lost that retailers hold.

Physical discs like bluray and especially 4K offer better video and audio which is mostly noticeable for people who have nicer setups like home theater, etc.

Finally, digital is not transferable. You cannot sell it. If and when you perish, no one gets to inherit your collection if they don't have access to your accounts.
