imo these are too weak to be practical unless for niche applications. I have the m18 fuel its somewhat strong suction but 120v corded is much stronger/faster. good for handymen, appliance repair, maybe some other trades, a travel vac for your camper/rv or maybe old grannies who cant lift a big shop vac.

But if you need a well built vacuum that runs on a battery, this one is good, albeit hungry -- it will chew through batteries in a hurry.
Hose length wise.. they can really only be so long before you start sacrificing compactness, then people would complain that they're not as small as they could be. Longer hoses also penalize suction so there's that, too.
I ended up grabbing the M18 packout version largely because it's more 'ready to go' with the hose not being stowed away under the lid.. the less steps required to use it, the better, IMO.

MKE finally got smart and they are releasing a 4gal 70CFM packout compatible vacuum that should actually be worthy.
IMO, they really need a new M18 Fuel? 65-75CFM, 2gal, and then this M12 Fuel.
