-contain an Amazon code that you enter (clipping is fine) - as these were codes given by the seller to SD (both so that there is a perceived discount and to track how much traffic SD brought in as SD likely gets paid both through Amazon referral links and by the seller)
-posted by staff (sponsored content is usually posted by staff)
-has an abnormal ratio of TU to comments -- usually promoted deals are given a bunch of TU by bot accounts, typically out of proportion to their comments (or at least real comments)
-Has high % of likely shill comments. Usually these are vague -- wow great deal, in for 2 TY. These would be a great gift/stocking stuffer. I have this and it works great, in for 3 more. Usually these are from fairly low rep/post accounts
Honestly I visit SD <10% of how much I used to because there is too much promoted junk clogging it up. Back in my day, FP was <10 deals, all of which were legit deals...
