FWIW, even if they appear to be similar on paper, they are very different games. There was a big change in style and implementation between the Trilogy and 4. Both are good in their own rights. Personally I thought 4 was better since it was more modern (and closer to the current Sniper Elites) but Trilogy felt like it was made with more love. 4 was also much better balanced for solo play as well. I happily played through both.

Not Germans specifically... the Nazis. There's a big difference between portraying Nazis as villains and vilifying German people as a whole.

Just dropping a "beware"! Apparently this game doesn't work well with modern CPUs with lots of of cores. The game will crash or freeze/lock up. It even locks up task manager when you want to kill the process supposedly there's workaround, but I haven't tried them yet. Anyway, this is just an FYI.
