Two pack of black are $14, $7 each.

Since these are Apple and not jank cables, I'm getting multiple of each type.

Example of how well Apple does cables, check out the XRay breakdowns. This one is Adam Savage breaking down Thunderbolt but I've seen similar for USB-c:

Ironically, I've had three official Apple Lightning cables fail on me.
The first one failed within the warranty period probably due to a chip malfunction as iOS kept displaying the message "This accessory may not be supported." The second one developed contact issues because of the poor strain relief design. The third one still works, but the hard plastic connector where I grip it when plugging and unplugging the cable has cracked. Looking into it online, I found out that this cracking is a common issue and it always happens at the same spot.
Apple's Thunderbolt cables may be well designed, but its Lightning cables clearly aren't. By contrast, all my other non-Apple USB Type-C cables which are USB-IF certified work reliably for years without issues. Not even the USB Type-C cable for my mouse which I move around throughout the day has failed.

The cable jacket material (Braided vs. PVC) is irrelevant to the malfunctioned chip, the weak strain relief design, and the cracked hard plastic part.
