Doesn't seem like a deal, though, since it was $79 with 2 batteries for quite a while in the spring. I realize the time machine hasn't been invented yet, but I'd be surprised if it wouldn't go on sale again.

Ding.. ding... ding... We have the 1st place winner!!!
I've been using this 12v impact for the last 6 months as my primary drill/driver/impact tool. I like that it is smaller and lighter than any of my other 20v tools, and I can charge using the same chargers I already have set up all over. This driver sits permanently now in the tool box tote I carry in with me on any new job. I have bigger stuff in my vehicle, but I haven't yet found a job that the little 12v won't do for me.
That said, yes, I do realize that most people say that DeWalt is not developing new 12v tools. And, this particular deal is not as good as the one I got in the past, where I got the tool, 2 batteries, and a charger for $79. But I do like this particular tool. It's lightweight, works great, and I don't see any reason it's going to stop working for me, so I'm very happy with it.
