I have several Tapo cameras and this one is my least favorite one, the fixed camera has a very small vertical tilt, so unless you want to look at the sky you will need to shim the bracket to tilt the camera down enough to see the ground, also the FOV for the pan camera is very small IMO.

I switched from Wyze to Tapo because of the horrible delays in Wyze, Tapo loads in 1-2 seconds so you actually see the event once you recieve the notification (unlike Wyze).

I have several Tapo cameras and this one is my least favorite one, the fixed camera has a very small vertical tilt, so unless you want to look at the sky you will need to shim the bracket to tilt the camera down enough to see the ground, also the FOV for the pan camera is very small IMO.

No subscription, since SD card prices add up, I bought the Tapo Hub and a hard drive and it supports up to 16 cameras, link to the hub is: https://a.co/d/0fGJEXhH

They have both. You don't have to have a subscription to save event videos if you install an SD card which are more expensive these days than the camera.

I have several tapo cams, swithces and plugs.
They all work well if set up properly.
C720 -- didnt work well in the front because of being far from the router. Once I installed it in the back it work flawlessly.
C-710 installed in front. Had similar issue as 720. Once I added a other wifi router as range extender I have not had any issues. Both work only on 2.4 band with no delay
C402 mounted on a tree facing to house, there are 2-3 seconds delay. It is the furthest from the router and it works well, but doesn't detect anything.
C110 works well in the garage.
D130 wired to door bell wires, works very well eventhough it is far from the router.
C510 also works well. No issues with connectivity.

These all have 64 gb sd cards. No issues so far.
Planning to get a couple more different models in the near future.


Been eyeing this one, trying to see where I can use outside of the house.
Seems like a decent set of cameras
