I also have the corded version of this, which works well. However since I bought the 9" DeWalt cordless chainsaw, it sits in the box. The DeWalt batteries fit my other power tools

Have an older corded version and it has gotten well used. These help make super short work of tree trimming clean up and bundling. Would recommend one of these if you're looking/tempted.

I think it's for people who are scared of buck back or just want the safety... I don't really get it either because it's not like it's a proper chainsaw - any I've used like this are effective but pretty weak compared to the real deal.

If this was on a pole I could maybe see more utility from this where you can get a good targeted cut but this thing, I really don't get it...

I have corded version and never use it. It seemed like a good idea, but is pretty heavy, and I'm familiar enough with chainsaws that I never use this thing.
It's not a horrible idea if chainsaws terrify you.(Chainsaws are probably the most dangerous type of saw, so I'm certainly not judging)
