This is the single greatest charger ever. Paid full price on anker and got rid of the individual ones that were in my backpack. It's not the greatest deal as you can get around 100 all the time. But it's a great charger

It needs AVS to get full speed because Apple is.... ridiculous.

Anyways using a non AVS high wattage charger will get you to 50% in 20 minutes, instead of 15 minutes.

So... Do what you will with that info

This 160W charger has issues. This is a peak 160W charger and not continuous 160W charger based on review.

It's careful in its marketing that it can't really do 160 watts. It is a peak 160 watt or max 160 watt maybe, but you get about 24 minutes of run time before it overheats and throttling to may be 110 watts afterward.

I was seriously struggling with whether to spend $75 on the Anker Prime 160W. I already bought the WeGear 140W for $33 with a cable, so returning it would mean spending about $42 more for the Anker—and then I'd still need to buy a cable.

The Anker is smaller, but we're talking about roughly 33% less volume. Both can do 140W to a single device, and the WeGear actually has an extra port.

The more I thought about it, the more I realized the WeGear is just worth keeping at $33. Even if it doesn't last as long as the Anker, these chargers keep getting cheaper and better over time. The charger I have now was originally $100+ and is a good example of how quickly prices come down.

I'd rather use the $42+ savings now and, if the WeGear eventually dies, buy whatever the newer/better charger is at that point. No point paying a premium today just to have the smaller Anker.

Correction, it can do peak 140W for around 20 minutes before throttling to may be 110 watts afterward. So think of this as a 110 watts charger and can do peak 140W for single device for around 20 minutes before overheat.

In term of actually running at 140W continuously, Apple 140W charger that is larger may be better since it can actually run continuously at 140W without getting overheat and throttling.
