So that was my experience, just FYI. Just make sure its not a 3rd party seller. I will never buy anything big from Walmart again, at least now I'm hesitant to.

This MSI Vector 16 HX AI stands out as a relatively affordable way to get an RTX 5070 Ti in a full power gaming laptop. The upgradeable memory and extra NVMe slot help soften the stock 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD limits, and the price looks strong versus higher tier MSI models. The main knocks are the 68 percent sRGB screen, the small SSD for game installs, and concern about refurbished or third party seller units. It is a solid desktop replacement if display quality and storage are not the priority.
The RAM appears upgradeable up to 64GB, which helps future-proofing for heavier workloads.
The laptop includes an additional NVMe slot, which can support future storage expansion beyond the 512GB SSD.
The RTX 5070 Ti configuration at this price point can be hard to find in current listings.
The 512GB SSD can limit game installs if you plan to keep multiple titles locally.
The 2560x1600 native resolution can reduce in-game frame rates compared with lower-resolution settings.
The display can be a weak point because it is rated around 68% sRGB coverage.
A refurbished model can be a major drawback even with a 6-month warranty, and it may cost about $270 more after tax.

For my CAD work 60 series cards are more than sufficient so not everyone may like the big downgrade in performance. That said, I think the laptop in this current posting, not the link, is fine for pure gaming. Most people don't need more than 16GB atm and the space is sufficient for the time being since there is another NVME slot for future storage drives. Not a bad deal for a desktop replacement.

I would only consider it if the warranty can be extended for an additional year.
Since that's very unlikely, personally I would avoid buying the refurb model.
In addition, much higher native resolution 2560x1600 on this gaming laptop means much lower frame rates in games.
2560x1600 is even higher than 1440p resolution. (2560x1440)
Lower resolutions on the refurb will result in increased frame rates, but may not look as good as its native resolution.
