This pre-seasoned carbon steel skillet is valued for fast heating, light weight, and strong everyday performance once the seasoning is built up. It can handle eggs, burgers, and quick searing well, and the smoother surface is described as easier to clean than cast iron. The main cautions are that it needs proper preheating and seasoning, can stick or rust if neglected, and the thin steel may warp or bulge on some stoves, especially with too much heat too fast. A practical carbon steel pan if you are willing to learn its care.

Make sure to not be afraid to remove anything stuck during cleaning, meaning get a metal spatula and scrape the s*** out of it if needed. It's a workhorse, dont br afraid. Coat with oil and warm it up afterwards.
Non-stick eggs every morning. Not an omurice style, but non stick enough for regular fry and scrambled.
Everyone's recs above I'd agree with and I'd add that before you cook anything acidic (eg. tomato sauce based) you'll want it to be very well seasoned and afterwards wash (any time you cook acidic foods) with soap, rinse and re-season it. Otherwise, hot water rinse/dry + brush if needed.
edit: oof , I paid $18 and $27 for the 8 and 12", May 2025. Still gonna keep the order since its def a quality of life upgrade for me.

Some tips for all carbon steel:
Use Grapeseed oil to season, at least 3-4 coats.
Always use butter with eggs.
Never cook anything tomato-based.
Don't use soap, at all.
Don't be scared of seasoning getting in food.
Use less heat than you think, but let the pan warm longer than you think.
I've given carbon steel pans to most of my family members to help them get away from Teflon, and most of them are so frustrated they give up until I spend a weekend hanging out and showing them the way. It's a finicky thing and the difference between too much oil to season or not enough feels like splitting the atom, but if you figure it out your food will taste better and you'll be healthier for it.
