This ACEMAGIC M5 mini PC is a compact Intel Core 5 220H box aimed at light server and everyday multitasking use, with 24GB factory soldered LPDDR5 5200 memory, two M.2 slots, and HDMI 2.0 for triple 4K output. It has been described as quiet in normal use, with only a little fan noise when the CPU ramps up, and it has handled services like Pi hole, Jellyfin, Immich, WireGuard, Plex, and a Project Zomboid server. The main limits are the single USB C port, non upgradable memory, and a warranty claim that was not honored. It looks best suited to compact always on workloads rather than heavy upgrade paths.

Common Questions (4)

  • It can handle home-server tasks such as Pi-hole, Jellyfin, Immich, WireGuard, Plex, and even a Project Zomboid server. It also stays quiet in normal use, though the fan can ramp up under CPU load.

  • The 24GB LPDDR5-5200 memory is factory-soldered and non-upgradable. Storage is more flexible, with two M.2 slots available for expansion.

  • It has only one USB-C port and HDMI 2.0 video output. That makes it workable for a basic setup, but USB-C expansion options are limited.

  • A warranty claim was reportedly denied after the unit failed before the 3-year term ended, with the seller offering only a 10% discount on a replacement. That makes warranty support a risk to factor into the purchase.

OP, please edit the notes at the top to remove "512GB capacity" if the memory is soldered. Surprised to see 5200 speed soldered memory - max now is over 10000. Also surprised to see 2TB max when these CPUs support 8.

Not necessarily this one. Has any used these mini PC's for servers? Specifically house servers with HA VM and maybe a game server container like minecraft or something. My current house server has started to show it's age. It also puts out an insane amount of heat for the room it is in. Anyway, I have been considering a mini PC but I'm not sure it will fit my needs.

I have. Works well. Got an external usb-c thing that holds four 3.5" hard drives for more storage. Doesn't do raid or anything but that plus mini pc still better than the giant old tower I had. The mini pc makes a little noise when the cpu ramps up and the fan kicks up but that's about it. Has been working great.
