I've been buying Hawke & Co clothes occasionally for years, mostly through TJ Maxx and online, and while they are surprisingly decent (not amazing, but decent) quality and deserve to be more known than they are, they definitely do not produce tactical type clothing.
This is about as "tactical" as the stuff you can buy at Walmart (specifically in-store), and these hoodies in particular are maybe even slightly more gimmicky than most of that stuff; I'm looking at you, hoodie strings.
Still, the gimmicky bit aside, I'd say this is still a decent deal. I'd probably throw one of these on while running errands in town and find most of the features useful in some way; I definitely wouldn't wear this camping or like kicking down doors (if that was something I actually did lol) or anything.
All that to say, $30 doesn't feel unreasonable for one of these. You should probably think of it more as a 2 for 1 sale than an 85% off sale. $100 a pop is craaaaazy talk.

Wish these had zippers for pockets. I would lose my life without.
THERE's no such thing as FR rating A. I double checked if there's such system outside of US and I can't find one. It should be Class 1, 2, or 3. Yes, I wear FR gears at work and such hoodies from Ariat is easily $150.
