I just got these beats and they seem very good. Xm5 I hesitated to buy during the last sale for $199 because people complain they break fast. So not worth the risk though xm5 sound better IMO. Also at wal mart beats are $150 white version.

Same. I think the "hinge breakage" is a little over-hyped by people who probably throw their headphones in their back pack that have their books, hydroflask, and cement bricks.

I have mine, always put it in the case when going in the bag, and never had an issue.
I am waiting on the XM6 to go on sale for black friday this year.

As far as the comparison, i'd take the XM5, XM4, and Bose QC (non ultras for the price proximity) over Beats.

For the next step up i'd look at the XM6 and the QC Ultra Gen 2s.

Used Like-New are $158. I bet they offer an additional 15% on Amazon Warehouse/Resale during October 6/7 deal days, bringing certain colors to ~$133-$140.
