Wonder how this compares to a circular Saw beam cutter.
The slickdeal gigglers and naysayers don't seem to know that this is a knockoff of the Hudson Boardmaster.
This is really intended for cutting boards from timber. You don't get the control of a beam cutting chainsaw. Each cut requires a guideboard to be screwed in place.

Screw a 2x4 as a guide to your log and use a chainsaw to cut boards. If you don't do it enough to free hand it, this helps. If you have a remote cabin with no road access and good timber, this is really handy for making bigger timbers (that you wouldn't want to hike in) I made a number of 4x beams for various building projects on the property. It takes a fairly gutsy chainsaw (55cc) or so to make it work.
I have this. Don't plan on getting boards perfect unless you have a super straight premium grade 2x4 or 2x6 for a guide. Also, I recommend a ripper chain which works far better on long cuts along the grain than your typical crosscut chain. Overall not bad if you just needed to rough cut some boards for cabin property projects.
