MFish E-Tank is a compact desktop charging station that combines three AC outlets with four USB C ports, RGB lighting, and high wattage charging in one hub. The design is also described as very similar to Genki Moonbase, and the price is called much better than buying a comparable Ugreen Nexode 200W setup. The main concern is electrical safety, with repeated testing showing hot and neutral reversed on some units. That makes it a neat desk charger on paper, but the wiring issue is hard to ignore.

  • The station offers 3 AC outlets and 4 USB-C ports without any USB-A ports included.

  • The product's public timeline and FCC sample receipt dates make a simple "copied after crowdfunding" story harder to reconcile.

  • The outlet lighting behavior can be visually distinctive, with red socket lights and pulsing activity.

  • The charger is described as having UL safety certification and a PC94V-0 fire-rated enclosure with 1250W surge protection.

  • Hot and neutral appear reversed on multiple units when tested with outlet testers or multimeters.

  • Reversed hot and neutral wiring can defeat surge protection and fuses, leaving metal parts or connected devices electrically energized.

  • MFish support response directs Amazon-order customers to contact Amazon for exchange or refund instead of providing direct after-sales handling.

  • The promo code flow can be confusing because the code requires tapping the arrow in the promo box before continuing.

Why do we need 240W again? Are we running our washing machines on this bad boy?
That's a W, not a V like you think. That said, it's a scam product anyway that can icky output 140W.

I can't get it to work in the app. Anybody know what I'm doing wrong. I select the box to use promo code, once I'm in that screen I click continue and it goes back to payment screen and nothing about the promo is there. Not getting any errors just disappears and get it at normal price with free $2.99 shipping. Thanks in advance for your help! Cheers, Nick

You might be missing the step of tapping on the arrow that appears in the promo code box to apply the code (before tapping the Continue button). It's definitely a confusing design, I hope they change it.

"7-in-1 desktop charging station w/ 3 AC & 4 USB-C ports"This summarized what it is. It doesn't even come with USB-A port! You can get a 5 A/C surge protector for $10. And then add a couple USB chargers base on your need for $20-40. More versatile since you can take the USB charger with you when travel.
To get the same output, you'd need to get the Ugreen Nexode 200W, which has the same wattage outputs for 3 of 4 ports (140,100,and 30). But that charger alone is $70. More expensive than this deal. So your solution is to spend $80 and requires more steps than just buying this?

I have no idea why I actually bought this, but it's freakin' cool and I love it. Why did I do this? I can't even blame SD for this one . . . .

My socket lights are red not blue, there's probably something I could do about that but I'm not going to, and they pulse to show something, maybe it's charging, maybe it's because it's connected to something, or maybe just because. I guess I'd better check on the reversed wiring but even if it's wron I'm not sure I'll return it as it will only ever be used for chargers, nothing more critical.

I need to take a break from SD I think . . . .

Isn't this Genki's moonbase design? Or did Genki gank it?
It looks very very similar.

Looks cool at my desk. I may keep it even if the wire is wrong. AI says it doesn't impact a lot if you just use the plug for charging.

My situation is I don't need a 200W charger.

For my laptop, I already have 2 chargers. I will only get more over time.

Mine's reversed. Reached out to the seller to see what they say. Really shouldn't use it, but I agree with the comment above, it will only be used for chargers. However . . . .

A power bar wired with the hot and neutral reversed is a serious safety defect because it leaves the internal components energized even when the switch is off. This means the surge protection and fuses end up on the neutral side instead of the hot, so they can't actually stop live voltage from reaching the outlets. As a result, metal parts or connected devices may remain electrically "hot," creating a real shock hazard, increasing the risk of electrical fires, and potentially damaging sensitive electronics. Even though the power bar may appear to work normally, the reversed wiring completely defeats its built‑in safety features and makes it unsafe to use.

Put it this way if the company or the manufacturer you've never heard of then they're probably not that big and if they're not that big they're not going to cover the lawsuit you file when their product burns down your house

For whatever it's worth, when I use the Amazon "Looking for specific info", for UL register:

Yes, the MFish E-Tank 7-in-1 Desktop Charging Station has UL safety certification. The enclosure material is rated PC94V-0 fire-proof level, which means it meets UL standards for electrical equipment safety and fire resistance.
Additional safety features include 1250W surge protection to guard against power spikes, and customers consistently report reliable performance with all their high-power devices.

I think this is enough of a reason not to get this
