Strange that there is no mention of CPU, and I had to look it up to see it uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 which is a mid-range mobile SoC, so this is a mid-range phone like Moto Edge, maybe
Nothing Phone 4a Pro comes across as a midrange Android with snappy software, strong hardware design, and a distinctive Glyph light look. The cameras are serviceable but not the standout, so the higher RAM and storage option feels more appealing. Update support is listed at 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. The main cautions are carrier compatibility, especially Verizon and AT and T, missing LTE Band 13, and no SD card, with some concern about long term company stability.
Power users who value a snappy interface and distinctive hardware, because the software feels fast and the design is praised as strong.
It is not recommended for Verizon because it lacks CDMA and LTE Band 13, and Verizon may require the IMEI to be added before use. AT&T support is also limited, with reports of missing 5G coverage and no VoWiFi/VoLTE behavior on some setups.
No LTE Band 13 is reported, which can hurt reception in rural areas, remote locations, and basements. That band is often the difference between usable signal and no service in fringe coverage areas.
The software is described as very snappy and the hardware/design as strong, but the cameras are the weak point and are only serviceable. It is best suited to buyers who want a fast, well-built phone and can live with average camera quality, ideally with the higher RAM/storage option.
Nothing provides 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates. That makes it a longer-support option than many mid-range phones, though it is still below the 7-year support some buyers expect.
It has no SD card slot, so storage is fixed at purchase. GrapheneOS support is not available, which pushes privacy-focused buyers toward a Pixel instead.
I want nothing more than for OnePlus to return to the USA.
Nothing more.
Go look at the specs of the OnePlus 15 and 16.
The phones they force us to buy in the US are a national embarrassment.
9000 mAh battery in the OnePlus 16.
Get this administration out of office and remove all tariffs.
lol, the drama queen post. Apple and Samsung take the top 10 spots in global sales. Why? They make excellent phones. Oppo/one plus has 10% share and dropping with them down 17% YTD.
I am genuinely in the market for a phone as my OnePlus 8T is on its deathbed. Please tell me about another new phone with 12 GB RAM that is not renewed / refurbished, for a similar price tag, that I can use with T-Mo. I don't want to go through buying with another carrier that can be unlocked few months down the road. I need one right now. I don't like the small form factor of pixels. I am ok with anything that can last me a couple of years. I know OPO is pulling from USA but the updates won't stop rolling out. However everyone says don't get OPO. I am seriously debating between Nothing, Redmagic and OPO. Please don't laugh.
I have a oneplus 9 and finally the battery is no good. I wanted another oneplus but so sad they pulled out of NA and europe. I went with Pixel 10a since nothing else. I don't know too much about the nothing phone but pixel 10a been ok so far
You know Verizon shut down their CDMA side in 2022 right?
Yes, but what @asuka just mentioned below. Without b13, you'll be talking to crickets in my area unless you drive up to the town center or closer to the antennae
Buy the Trump phone. Will last as long as Trump does.
This could be another LG situation. Buyers should beware.
In early 2017 I purchased an LG V20 and at the time I was not aware that LG was struggling against rival, Samsung. LG smartphone owners got screwed by the company when they basically pulled the plug on the smartphone unit in 2019.

Perhaps a Moto Edge is an option for you?

I wish grapheneos worked on this phone. I understand why they had to choose a phone make and model and stick with it, but I would've gotten this phone for it's piecemeal updates instead of being forced to buy a pixel.
Paying a premium for certain upgradability these days is worth it because everything is just so.... /disposable/ due to crapitalism smh

People upgrading from a mid-range phone who want solid everyday performance, because the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is described as mid-range but capable.
Android tinkerers who want long software support, because it includes 3 years of OS updates and 6 years of security updates.
Verizon and rural-area buyers who depend on Band 13 LTE, because missing B13 can block approval and leave reception weak away from town centers.
AT&T buyers who need full home coverage and calling features, because it can connect yet still lack 5G at home, VoWiFi, and working VoLTE.
Camera-first small-business owners who need a stronger lens than a serviceable shooter, because the cameras are described as the weak point.
People who rely on expandable storage, because it has no SD card slot.

B13 LTE is literally the one thing federal regs require to force Verizon to allow the device on the network.

This does mention that Nothing denied the claims of exiting markets, but then also says they are laying off some employees due to "reorganization"
Just my 2 cents, but I'd be hesitant to buy a phone from a company that is small and might struggle to stay alive in a few years (pure speculation).
Buy the Trump phone. Will last as long as Trump does.
