This is my all time favorite running shoe. I've used it for everything... Speed work, 5ks, half marathons, long easy runs, ultras, etc. It's also great for walking. Grippy on wet surfaces and they last forever. I've gone through 6 or 7 pairs and they last 500+ miles.

It's on the firmer side, so keep that in mind.

you tried the 13's? IMO they're ~1/3 of the way softer to EVO SL's but still great stability. Harder to find deals, but occasionally

I have a pair of the 13s but still find myself reaching for the 12s. They're a little more narrow in the toe box and don't feel quite as good underfoot, though they're still a great shoe. If/when I get another pair, I'll probably try a half size up (on the 13s).

I know most people disagree but I much prefer the upper on these to the upper on the 13's and EVO SL.

Heal lock on these makes a HUGE difference.

Bought these and do not find them comfortable for running. I always go for my Hoka Cliftons or Adidas Ultraboost or Nike Pegasus. As another SD'er rspray stated it may be because they are on the firmer side. So maybe if you like firmer, you may like them.

Everyone is different but I've been running in these and the Evo SL's but recently bought a pair of Nike alphaflys. The Nikes cause some knee discomfort and I prefer the Adidas.

The Evo SL has been listed on SD at $75 recently, and the extra $8 is going to be worth it for many runners. I know many people who like the Bostons, but I never could enjoy them. They are technically softer than the Evos, but have less shock absorption and less energy return, making them feel a lot firmer than they actually are. RunRepeat has the Boston 12 at 128 shock absorption, 38 firmness, and 67% energy return, while the Evos have 147 shock absorption, 44 firmness, and 74% energy return. My guess is that lighter runners will probably get on fine with the Bostons, but most other people are going to want the Evos.

Evo SLs were $51 from Adidas via eBay last week; I ordered another pair before they went OOS. They were listed as Women's, but the fit is identical to the Men's; just subtract 1 to convert the Women's sizing to Men's based on the Adidas official unisex sizing chart.
