The third game is EXTREMELY short. They literally ran out of money making it, because they tried something new and it took way more work per level than they expected. Also, it didn't really work. Don't worry; the fourth game is back to the standard side scrolling design.
I love these games. We've definitely "solved" puzzles in ways they weren't meant to be, and it's hilarious fun when a plan falls apart. The combat is usually pretty weak, and is just there to give you an easy win between head scratcher puzzles. Boss fights are usually 2/3 puzzle, 1/3 combat. Play these with two other people, they're a bit weird solo.
