This is a good product from a good brand but it's the equivalent of the old school label makers with the trigger you squeezed compared to today's label makers. You can get a niimbot for half this and it'll do so much more like images and copy/pasting (and no signups required on their app either).

The labeler itself is around $13. You can get generic label cartridges for less. even on Amazon.
It also eats up 4 AAA batteries like a fat kid loves cake. I use rechargeable lithium batteries with it and generic label cartridges. Those generic labels also have a split backing so its easier to remove the backing.

Also remember it is a thermal labeler so don't label anything that will get hot or stay in the sun.

I got niimbot for 10$ and its entire garbage. Reason simple - rfid. And it uses "same" but different app than d30 still with tonn of bloat and subscriptions. So d30 wins this battle since i can open specific page in browser and print whatever, moreover it just works with whatever label tape i can fit inside wolithout hp style bs

NIIMBOT labels fade. They are thermal paper so they fade both with heat and with lots of touching (like labeling a button). They are also a fixed size, you can't just print a 3" label if you want it.

I just bought a brother to replace/supplement my niimbot. The Tz tapes are way more durable.

The niiimbot features are really nice but it depends what you are labeling. I have labels on smart switches that only lasted about a year of 1-2x a day use. I have labels on wires in junction boxes that I would like to still be readable in 20 years. For utilitarian stuff, the brother tape seems better.

Edit: I see this isnt a tz tape brother but rather a thermal one. Then yeah, I'd probably prefer the niimbot and their app over this.

I like this model since there isn't as much wasted material on the beginning and end of the label compared to other models,
