If a bad deal let me know - the 8GB video made me iffy to post but the other specs were good.

It is indeed a bad deal. Regardless of the inflation, $1849 for a 5070 laptop is nuts despite having a monster of a processor. The other laptop/desktop deals you posted earlier were really good though, so props for that!

I actually think its is a good deal, the reality is we live in the Ramcopalypse of 2026 and also ever skyrocketting GPU prices... stupid AI. I looked for this model all over the web, and the closest price I see is 2049, so this is still a couple hundred off that.

Only way I would say this is not a good deal is if you happen to own a time machine and can go back in to 2025 before the ridiculous shortages happened.

Based on a search online it appears the average 5070 8GB powered 16" laptop is going around the $2400-$2600 mark with everything going on in the world. On top of that this is an 18" model.

Currently trying to convince myself that I don't need an 18" laptop.
