I suggest ratcheting for stubby - these features are more likely needed in tandem

Returned the stubby because Klein uses proprietary bit size.

Not sure how I've lived my whole life with only a single stubby nut driver. About time I got another.

I recently picked up the Doyle version from Harbor Freight for $5.00 with a coupon. Looks like the coupon isn't available anymore. The Doyle is listed at $10, so this Klein is a better deal at the moment. At least until the next 30% off $10 and under weekend sale.

Now you need a shaver for that stubby nut.

Do you mean the Stubby does? In what way - depth of the bit shaft? I have several std. length ratcheting Klein screwdrivers and they all accept and fit typical 1/4" hex drive bits.

Edit: unsure what this commenter is saying. In bottom-right of the picture it shows 1/4" hex. So yes the Stubby will accept and drive standard hex bits.

I don't think it's the size of the bit, but the little ballsy thing that keeps it from slipping out of the shaft.

Well that just didn't sound right.

Bingo! The Klein 1/4" bits have a built-in spring-loaded ball to keep the bit attached to the 1/4 nut driver. Standard 1/4" bits do fit, but they are too shallow and sink too far into the nut driver. Plus, the nut driver is not magnetic, so bits can easily fall out.

I recommend paying a little more for this:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08KFNDBRW

More bits that are standard size and impact rated, aren't super frustrating to swap, adjustable length shaft, rear of the handle spins.

The only benefit of the OPs version is that it's tiny. In every other regard the one I linked is better.
