Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.

You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.

***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

This Verizon Pixel 11 Pro deal is mainly attractive as an upfront discount on a new-line purchase, with store pickup often reported as the smoothest path. The phone is generally carrier unlocked after activation or pickup, and Google Fi or other non Verizon eSIM tests are the usual way to confirm it. The biggest caveat is Verizon's confusing unlock and cancellation behavior, with some orders unlocking immediately and others showing a 35 day wait or needing support. Billing can also be messy, with prorated charges, full month bills, and possible cashback timing issues to watch.

  • Buyers who want a cheaper unlocked Pixel and can use in-store pickup, because pickup cases repeatedly showed the phone unlocked right away and avoided the 35-day wait.

  • People who plan to use the phone on another carrier after setup, because the device can work with Google Fi or T-Mobile once it is unlocked.

  • Shoppers comfortable activating a new line briefly, because the phone can be verified unlocked and the line canceled the same day with only prorated service charges.

  • People who want a Pixel 11 Pro for everyday Android use, because it ships with a clean OS and regular updates without needing custom ROMs.

  • Buyers who need immediate eSIM flexibility on day one, because shipped units can stay locked for days or require Verizon support before another carrier eSIM will work.

  • People who want to install custom ROMs or degoogle the phone, because Verizon units have a permanently locked bootloader.

  • Shoppers who do not want to manage Verizon billing follow-up, because full-month bills, prorated adjustments, and chat-based waivers can still be needed after cancellation.

  • People who need a simple no-hassle purchase, because the checkout and unlock flow can involve credit checks, payment verification, and repeated order failures.

Picked up my order in-store (512). Now cancelling the service. The charge on my card is 635.99
I'd verify first that it's unlocked before cancelling the service.

Source? I'm pretty sure this is not true. I'll know for sure in about 3 weeks, as I have a carrier locked (non-Verizon) Pixel 10 that will be unlocking.
Yeah Verizon phones are bootloader locked but not other carriers. I got a pixel fold from woot for $290 couple of weeks which is a tmobile variant but it's bootloader unlocked.

Anyone do the purchase and cancellation in-store? It's too shady otherwise.I don't want to be stuck with a Verizon plan.
You don't want to cancel the plan without first checking the phone is unlocked. Also the standard excuse you can give for cancellation that no service in work/home which you can't really give while in the store.

Interacting with a robot on the call right now to permanently disconnect the line and soon going to ask about the device unlock.

update: line is permanently canceled. Not sure if there will be some clawback. Already have a free Verizon line from work.

update: activated Google Fi e-sim just to test and service is active so the device must already be unlocked.

Is phone unlocked? Unlocked out of the box?

Did you use an existing number or have them give you something random?

That's great. Did you activate the phone with Verizon or you did the first boot with Fi SIM?

I was trying to complete the order and got stuck at the credit verification page that asked me which cards I got on certain months of certain years. I have no clue what they meant. Some cards I recognized but I'm not sure when I got them. And do they mean brand new cards or card renewals? Or getting another card after reporting a card stolen? Had to call and complete online verification by submitting photos, and now it's still stuck. I guess, it's not meant for me. :-)

I activated Verizon first and used the phone to call CS to cancel the line. The only remaining risk is a clawback of some sort and waiting for the partial service refund/credit.

Yeah I don't think there will be any clawback but Verizon will likely send you a bill which you need to chat to get anything other than prorated charges waived

There's a 35 day policy waiting period to unlock the phone. So if we buy online and try to cancel we may end up with a locked phone unless u cancel after 35 days which then I don't know the rules.

I ordered online with an in-store pickup. Not all stores have the 512.
