This is a steeply discounted Pixel 11 Pro deal through Verizon, but the real appeal is the upfront price cut and the chance to cancel after activation. The strongest reports say store pickup tends to unlock the phone right away, while shipped orders are more likely to trigger a 35 day wait or a manual unlock request. The main catches are Verizon bootloader locking, possible full month billing or prorated charge cleanup after cancellation, and some uncertainty around cashback timing. A good fit if you want the phone and can handle Verizon's extra steps.

  • People who want a Pixel 11 Pro for everyday Android use, because it can be activated on Verizon, verified with another carrier eSIM, and then canceled with only a small prorated bill.

  • Buyers who need a phone that works with Google Fi or other non-Verizon eSIMs, because the device can accept a different carrier eSIM after activation.

  • Shoppers who want to avoid a long carrier contract, because the discount is applied upfront instead of through 36 months of bill credits.

  • People comfortable doing a quick activation-and-cancel workflow, because store pickup, immediate unlock checks, and same-day cancellation have worked smoothly for some orders.

  • People who need an unlockable bootloader for custom ROMs, because Verizon units are bootloader locked and cannot be flashed with a custom Android OS.

  • Buyers who need a guaranteed instant unlock on delivery, because shipped orders can stay locked for days or require a 35-day wait and support escalation.

  • People who want to cancel without any billing follow-up, because Verizon can still send a full-month bill that may need another chat to adjust.

  • Shoppers who need a simple, no-hassle eSIM transfer, because some units show Verizon contact errors or fail to add another carrier eSIM until extra troubleshooting.

I did this yesterday online and picked up at the store. I also have $150 CB showing pending, but I'm on the fence on whether I just cancel the line now and call it a day, or hold off until the CB finalizes. I'm not sure if it's worth the trouble.
Just cancel now. It isn't worth the wait. Nor risk.

Phone picked up, activated , account setup completed , still device status show locked from my Verizon app, do I have to wait for some time ? How to check it's unlocked ?
Chat with customer support , they opened unlock request, they were saying using credit card would take 30 days to get unlocked, but since device showing as paid off, they opened request to unlock takes 5 days

Attempt to add Eskimo eSIM clearly mentioned device locked !

So I can't cancel the line until to see device unlock approval,

Just curious, why people are not waiting for Black Friday Walmart deal, where you will get IPhone within same price?

I know in Walmart deal, we need to taxes on phone full price + Walmart e-gift coupon thing.

Just want to check your thoughts on this.

They have removed the activation fee already so the 3 days cancellation doesn't matter much (yes if you want to lower prorated plan rate then the earlier the better)

Anyone was able to add verizon based esim or adding esim within the phone setting? Cuz when i click add eSIM inside the phone setting, it would just go straight to Contact Verizon at xxx number. Pretty sure the phone is unlocked cuz i can add esim via Google Fi app
I see the same now, just finished activating and setup. I thought people said earlier it's meant to be unlocked.
If we need to contact Verizon and wait days for unlock like some other guy here mentioned then we can't cancel immediately now no? :/

This is a straight 55%-ish off a flagship phone that was released a month ago and there's very few hoops to jump through. It's highly unlikely that we see anything like this on Black Friday.

The device should be automatically unlocked. As I mentioned once the device is paid off Verizon sends a signal to Google server which makes the phone unlocked. Try with Fi SIM free trial etc. If you try with Verizon based MVNO it might cause some problem and I am not familiar enough with Verizon MVNO works to suggest you what to do.

I just logged into the Verizon account management and I do see the phone marked as fully paid and it is unlocked in the status there.
I'm going to use it with google fi so it's not a blocker, but I'd obviously want to know I'd be able to change to any eSIM using the normal way Smilie
Will try and reach out to support tomorrow and see what they say, I need to contact them to cancel the plan anyway.

Yeah I know my phone has been unlocked. I just want to find a out to add esim the tradional ways (QR code, manually input and over the internet), which doesn't seem to work for now

I found this: https://issuetracker.google.com/i...2710?pli=1

Apparently it's a known issue and you have to scan the qr code via the camera app or the carrier has to support esim discovery process

I tried the Eskimo ESIM the other guy mentioned, and all the options to install it didn't work, direct through app and QR code and the contact Verizon message comes up even before doing anything just on clicking add eSIM (which feels buggy by itself regardless since you can still continue.

Clicking Add Sim -> Setup an ESIM -> shows Contact Verizon message -> same screen with error you can click either Done or Use a different sim -> scan QR code for Eskimo, it detects that it's an Eskimo sim (says 1 Eskimo eSIM is available for this device) -> clicking set up (failed)

*update, literally when I was typing the steps, the last step actually didn't fail and I now see it added Smilie

When I try to scan the QR (in setting app) it just go back to the Contact Verizon screen
