Visit the deal page on a desktop browser. Also do store pick up if possible to get the phone unlocked right away otherwise you might have to wait for 35 days for unlock.

You can select new customer and pay in full to get the $480 price. You can then select simplicity plan. Once you get the phone you can just cancel the line. Verizon unlocking policy states the devices are unlocked immediately if you pay in full. Their cancellation policy states no activation fee within 3 days and then only prorated charges if you cancel your line within 30 days.

***You might have to wait for 35 days before the phone is unlocked if you don't do store pickup in person as Verizon considers their online store purchase with delivery not secure. You can cancel your line nonetheless as the device will still unlock automatically after 35 days****

Other noticeable phones available with discounts

Motorola Razr fold: $1200
Motorola Edge 2026: $240
Motorola Razr 2025: $240

Samsung Galaxy Z fold 8: $1440

See this thread for more details on Verizon line activation and cancellation. Make sure to open a regular account with Verizon first with email address and passwd. Then add the new line in that account. That allows you to track the cancellation and bill through that account even after the line is removed.

This is a steeply discounted Pixel 11 Pro deal through Verizon, but the real appeal is the upfront price cut and the chance to cancel after activation. The strongest reports say store pickup tends to unlock the phone right away, while shipped orders are more likely to trigger a 35 day wait or a manual unlock request. The main catches are Verizon bootloader locking, possible full month billing or prorated charge cleanup after cancellation, and some uncertainty around cashback timing. A good fit if you want the phone and can handle Verizon's extra steps.

Common Questions (5)

  • Google Fi eSIM often works and is commonly used to confirm the phone is unlocked. Mint can be trickier because some users hit a Verizon contact error during eSIM transfer even when the phone is unlocked, so Fi is the better test.

  • It can unlock right away after activation, especially with store pickup, but some shipped orders show locked at first and unlock later. The practical check is to activate the phone, then test with a non-Verizon eSIM or SIM; if Google Fi works, the phone is unlocked.

  • Yes, the line can be canceled right away after activation and unlock verification, and several cancellations were completed the same day. Verizon may still send a full-month bill first, but it can often be adjusted to prorated charges through chat or a follow-up call.

  • No. Verizon Pixels are bootloader locked, so OEM unlocking stays grayed out and custom ROM flashing is blocked even if the phone is carrier-unlocked.

  • The most reliable check is to try another carrier's eSIM or SIM, such as a free Google Fi trial. Verizon's unlock status page and the list of available networks can be misleading, so a successful non-Verizon eSIM install is the clearest proof.

Just did this under a new account. I already to have Verizon service separately. So I assume all I have to do once it arrives is activate on the new service, then switch the eSIM to my current service and then cancel the new service?

Bought one with 512gb for 640.49$ 🤞 delivery by Tuesday
is there a risk of things not going right? can you just cancel online through a system rather than an agent?

Was able to order one for store pickup but then it occurred to me that they might open it and activate on the Verizon sim while trying to force me to add pricey things. Would this negate it being unlocked somehow? It's been a minute since I hoarded, repaired and collected phones.
No they won't open and activate it. You have already chosen the plan etc so there won't be any upsell. You get the phone and leave. Then you have to activate, verify the phone is unlocked and then chat/call with them to cancel.

I would cancel it first making sure they are disconnecting right away and then move your current service to the phone.

There's no option on the app to cancel? We must chat call to cancel?

Store manager here. If you purchase any phone and get a promo on it, that promo is credited over 36 months. If you cancel before 36 months, you would be responsible for the remaining phone balance at the time of cancellation.
Store manager trying to kill the deal. GTFO lol

Thanks, I called Verizon because I accidentally selected transfer my existing number so I wanted to change it but the representative told me just call back and ask for a new number when you receive the phone. FYI cb $150 for new customers.
where is the $150 CB?

so you were able to unlock and cancel the plan, anymore updates from your end?

Yeah, you can't cancel from the app. You chat to cancel and make sure they disconnect the line right away, they are trained to end the line at the end of billing cycle which you don't want.
